Activist Arben Kola spoke at the 71st anti-government protest, focusing on the fire situation and the working conditions of firefighters.

Kola criticized the differences between the salaries of officials and those of firefighters, while focusing on the severe fires recorded in recent years.

"Compare Zegjine's salary to a hero firefighter. How quickly we forgot the burning of Delvina and Gramsh. What happened yesterday in Kruja was foreshadowed," he said.

According to the activist, the lack of forest rangers and investments in fire prevention is worsening the situation.

"60 thousand hectares of forests burned in 2025. For 15 million euros per year we lose 150 million euros," Kola declared, calling for more funds for forest protection and firefighting equipment.

He also criticized spending on propaganda, arguing that these funds could be used to strengthen emergency services.

"Compare Zegjine's salary with a hero firefighter. How quickly we forgot the burning of Delvina and Gramsh. What happened yesterday in Kruja was foreshadowed... There is a lack of forest rangers. 60 thousand hectares of forests burned in 2025. For 15 million euros per year we lose 150 million euros.

How much money is spent on propaganda, as if it were spent on nature, equipment for firefighters. The plane promised more than 4 times. 4.2 million euros was given to Kenye West. We invite firefighters to join the square for improving working conditions… You are welcome in the square. This government's days are numbered… The battle continues…”, he said.
