Democratic Party MP Besart Xhaferri delivered his speech at the opposition protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, issuing strong accusations against the government and calling for a civic reaction.
In his speech, he emphasized that the current government, in his opinion, is fragile and can be overthrown by the truth. “A spark of truth is enough for this facade of government to crumble and fall to the ground,” declared Xhaferri.
The MP accused the government of turning the country into private property and that public funds are being misused. "Your money does not go to better schools, to hospitals where you can find healing, nor to roads and public safety. It goes into the pockets of a handful of people through secret tenders and phantom concessions," he said.
Xhaferri went on to emphasize that the problem is not poverty, but corruption. "Albania is not poor, it is stolen. We cannot leave our homeland to those who treat it like market loot," he said.
He called on citizens to react and not accept the current situation, emphasizing that the country has potential for development. “We have the intelligence, the strength and the education to make Albania worthy of our families,” the MP declared.
Xhaferri called for free and fair elections, urging citizens not to be afraid. “We must break down the wall of impunity and raise a rebellion against the evil that has suffocated us. Do not be afraid of their propaganda machine,” he concluded.
