IT expert Gent Progni has reacted to the arrests of protesters during anti-government rallies, stating that the law cannot be used as an instrument against citizens and in favor of the government.

In the 97th revolt against Rama, Progni stated that the arrests of protesters have shown, according to him, the way in which the right to protest is being treated.

"The protesters were handcuffed, today the mask fell. The law cannot be used as a stick against the citizen and a shield for the government," Progni declared.

He criticized the use of force and punitive measures against citizens participating in protests, emphasizing the importance of respecting the right to protest and the equal application of the law.

"Today another part of the mask of this system fell. Protesters are handcuffed, put in cells, held for up to 72 hours. And what happened today? The court considered the latest arrests illegal. 72 hours of a citizen's life are not returned. Where is the answer to this? Because for protesters the state acts immediately, but when the police are accused of violence, where is the state, where is the investigation and when are the measures?

We are demanding measures that can tell the truth, and the cameras are not being given to us. That's why I'm saying it publicly, don't touch the evidence, don't destroy a single second of footage, give us the cameras and let the truth speak.

There are handcuffs for citizens, cells for protesters, silence for those in uniform accused of violence. This is not equality before the law.

Therefore, our demand is firm: give the cameras, preserve the evidence, and hold accountable for illegal arrests, because the law cannot be used against citizens and as a shield for the government," Progni added.
