A protest is taking place in Orikum, where citizens are demanding the return of the administrative unit to the status of a municipality, as it was before the administrative-territorial reform of 2014.
Currently, Orikum is an administrative unit under the administration of the Municipality of Vlora.
The protesters oppose the current administrative division and demand that Orikum be restored as a separate municipality.
Orikum thus joins 15 other municipalities that have opposed the new administrative division proposed by the majority.
