A strong and very creative message has sprouted this afternoon on the asphalt in front of the government headquarters, on the 47th day of the civic revolt. Protesters have left a giant writing painted on the ground, right in the square where they hold their daily rallies, spreading a clear and direct message about justice and those in power.
In large letters, citizens have written the striking phrase: "Rama-Balluku, SPAK YOU!", as a revolting and ironic call that demands the immediate legal accountability of the two central figures of the government cabinet.
Support for SPAK, but with conditions: Eyes on the "head" of the system
Even during today's rally, messages addressed to the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) and the GJKKO were the main topic of speeches on the boulevard. Activists and many citizens reiterated that their support for the new justice institutions is not a blank check, but comes with the firm demand to investigate the top brass without any compromise.
From the podium, activist Edison Lika was emphatic regarding the main demand of this march:
"Of course, we have said it and will say it again, we demand from SPAK an investigation of Edi Rama as the criminal head of this corrupt system!"
