“Rama is no longer 'BabaZot'! Discredited in the eyes of the world and Albanians”/ Andi Tepelena: Here are the three main achievements of the protest! In September we are organizing for…
Albanians have been continuing their civic revolt for 43 days for the removal of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Andi Tepelena, part of the organizing group, invited to "News24 "Weekend" with Megi Latifi stated that citizen protests have brought various changes to the country's political climate, emphasizing that Prime Minister Edi Rama does not have the image of an untouchable leader.
According to Tepelena, one of the main indicators of the protest is that the fear of going out into the streets has been overcome. As for September, he has warned of a multiplication of protests following the work being done with interest groups.
"Regarding the achievements of the protest, the fear of protest was killed, a short time ago there was no protesting about anything. Society was reawakened. Until a month ago when I spoke to Rama, he was all-powerful, he was a 'BabaZot', he was all-powerful because he had opened all the links. Today he is discredited in the eyes of Albanians as the left and right come to the square every day, while the world media opens with headlines about what is happening in Albania and the corruption of the government.
The protest is sustainable, there is nothing to scare us.
In September there will be a larger organization, we are in contact with interest groups and university professors. We are working to expand the interest groups.
"In September we expect a multiplication of protests," he said.
