The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting with women and girls on the occasion of March 8, emphasizing the importance of their contribution at work and at home. He focused on the Balluku case, while emphasizing that the real battle with the judiciary is Rama's. He also mentioned the debates in the Assembly of Taulant Balla, who addressed Vokshi saying; "I have the number 0900 for you."
He denounced patriarchy as “the main violator of human rights, everywhere in the world,” calling the fight against it the noblest and most important battle for equality, dignity and human rights. “This 5-year-old wall does not collapse in decades, but must collapse,” he added.
Berisha stressed that in Albania, women and girls are the ones who face the consequences of the regime the most and the reality is sad: "The nation that our mothers brought into existence thousands of years ago is heading towards inevitable extinction. Out of 8,100 children, only 405 are in pre-university education, a clear sign of the extinction of the new generation."
"Good morning and my warmest greetings, the greatest respect for you, ladies and gentlemen present in this hall, for the democrats and democrats, for the democrats wherever they are today, but also for all Albanian women. I wish you a happy day, which in fact, as Albana said beautifully, is nothing more than one of the days of the year in which you deserve daily, hourly respect. I want to express my boundless gratitude to you, to all the women and sisters, the democratic girls, who with their help, courage, and resistance, are the main fiber of the Albanian opposition and the Democratic Party.
Your contribution, the contribution of Albanian women is manifold compared to the contribution of men, boys and this is a reality today. Today, in Albania and around the world, the intellectual superiority of girls and women is definitely confirmed. Today in Albania and around the world, their efficiency is definitely confirmed.
Today, and this has always been the case, their contribution to the development of a society has been about twice as great as that of men, because you are faced with work in your professions 24 hours a day, but you also face work in your families, which is a real contribution to the entire society and an essential contribution to what a society creates, the goods it creates.
In this context, the obligations towards you are limitless. Again, I do not want us to forget that the wall of patriarchy is the main violator of human rights everywhere in the world, in Albania, but everywhere in the world. The fight against this wall is the noblest fight, it is the most important human fight for equality, for dignity, for human rights. This 5000-year-old wall does not collapse in decades. This wall must collapse and women, girls, all those who believe in their extraordinary strength and their extraordinary role in the family and society, must do everything to reduce this wall every day and more. I guarantee you that the fight against this wall has been and remains a very important objective, among the most important objectives of the Democratic Party.
Without establishing equality between man and woman, brother and sister, mother and father, society can never be a just society, a society of high human principles and ideals.
But, in Albania today, the one who faces the most with all the evils of this regime is the mother, sister, wife and daughter. This is the reality. I want to express solidarity with the Albanian woman, who was attacked with aggression just because she supported you. She has been your voice in every international assembly! A powerful voice. I will tell you just one episode. Two high-ranking representatives of a country meet here, they had the translator of their embassy. The translator says; I will not translate these words that you say about the government. The interlocutor of the Albanian woman understood. In this hatred and shamelessness, she is invincible. Those who allow themselves such behavior prove that there is complete moral degradation. Neither Albania nor Europe has had a more misogynistic Prime Minister. He is a symbol of misogyny. What you see on the surface as a battle between the Baluk and the judiciary is in fact a battle of Rama. "She is a sinner, but she is an assistant in his thefts. Rama committed the thefts, so he demands the laws for himself. In the last mile, the strength of women, their energy, is required," he said.
