In an interview on the show "This Week" on News24 with moderator Nisida Tufa, Luçiano Boçi was asked about the opposition protest to be held on January 24, also touching on misgovernance. He emphasized that Prime Minister Edi Rama, according to him, is on the verge of leaving by 2026.
"From all the developments of events, the way the international factor has moved, the facts have emerged, the DP is moving towards protest and achieving its sustainability, I say that there is a time limit. He cannot consume this 4-year mandate. He is on the verge of his departure within 2026. The form of departure, the normal way is to leave by having the creation of a technical government that has an important role, to realize the two reforms that have held political discussions hostage in Albania, the territorial reform and the electoral reform. It is both that come together at the end point to make a fair vote possible," he said.
While we are only one day away from the protest, Boçi also shared some of the important points of the protest, saying that everyone has taken on their duties and that they are engaged not only in Tirana, but throughout Albania.
"I can say that everyone has taken on their duties as political leaders and MPs and our activity has been very intense. We are all scattered, everywhere in Tirana but also throughout Albania and we are in the last hours of our engagement because today it continues until the late hours as it will be tomorrow morning," said Boçi.
