Aulon Kalaja in an interview in "News24" spoke about the protest, the situation in the Democratic Party, the protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama, and analyzed the Prime Minister's statements.

He said that he has been present at the protest since day 1, describing it as the protest that has given a new spirit to the country and that the massiveness of the protest is extraordinary.

"Rama may want to take Albania to the moon, but facts show the opposite, we have seen how citizens are robbed of their property. The protest is extraordinary and something great has been built in the square. Everyone there shows their dissatisfaction, their cause... the continuation of this protest on July 31 shows that Albanians do not give up. In a normal country, a responsible prime minister should have taken measures to withdraw and to take measures to establish another government, a transitional government that will prepare the country for elections. Europe itself has spoken and supported the protest. The EU Ambassador to Albania has supported it, he went there himself... We have a waste catastrophe... In Europe, you get these citizens who have understood that governments are temporary and Albania is permanent...

Kalaja also emphasized that there is no other way but elections. According to him, the power of the protest is the fluid alliance as there are citizens with different complaints and causes.

"There have been some maneuvers by some Assemblies that they want to convene, but in my opinion, the protest should not have a head, because it will be anathema. The protesters are determined, it is a very historic moment," he said.

He also touched on the document proposed by Rama "Besa", which he described as propaganda candy. Kalaja added that the citizens have been clear and have emphasized that there will be no dialogue with the Prime Minister.

"The protesters do not want dialogue. And they have demanded a stop to the 3rd and 4th mandates. Rama's Besa, propaganda candy," he said.
