Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of not providing any explanation for two weeks regarding the allegations raised by him about a suspected financial scheme that, according to him, is linked to people close to the Prime Minister's brother, Olsi Rama.
In a Facebook status, Këlliçi claims that behind the company GLG Investment and a Venezuelan citizen with the surname Marquez are people connected to Gert Haka, whom he considers a close friend of Olsi Rama.
According to Këlliç, it concerns a piece of land in Lalzi Bay, which, according to him, was initially purchased for around 320 thousand euros and just two months later was revalued to around 26 million euros.
He claims that this property was later used in an operation related to the transfer of a casino license to the premises of the "Air Albania" hotel in Tirana.

It's been 2 weeks since Edi Rama has been under serious accusation. We have introduced the public and citizens to facts and data that show how, behind a ghost company GLG Investment and a Venezuelan with the surname Marquez, Olsi Rama's close friends have carried out several financial operations in a few months that no one would be able to carry out.
A piece of land is found in April of last year in Lalzi Bay with a value of 320 thousand euros. After 2 months, it is revalued to 26 million euros. And with this now valuable asset, the casino license is transferred in the heart of Tirana, to the “Air Albania” Hotel. All these actions, an unknown, Venezuelan, with the surname Marquez, carried out in 5 months!!!
The data we have published makes it clear that the Venezuelan is simply a prestano of Gert Haka, and therefore of Olsi Rama. Gert Haka is an old acquaintance of the Prime Minister's brother, when he lived in Michigan. Olsi and his close friend have been seen together everywhere for 13 years.
While 1 million people have fled bad governance, Olsi and his friend are the only ones who have returned and found paradise in Albania.
This whole affair happened with the blessing of several institutions, such as the Gambling Agency, the Money Laundering Directorate, the Competition Authority, Mortgages, Economic Crime, etc. So, taking a piece of land, revaluing it 80 times in 2 months, and through this wealth, taking over the casino in the heart of Tirana, all in 5 months, happened with the blessing of Edi Rama. There is no one else in power in the country to facilitate such a suspicious operation so much.
For 2 weeks, Edi Rama has been silent, offering no explanation or transparency about this serious accusation.
These facts prove how the government and the state are run today, and what benefits accrue to the Prime Minister's family.
But for 2 weeks now, SPAK has also been aware of this scandal, which if it were the prosecutor and guarantor of law enforcement, should have already initiated criminal proceedings.
