Jannik Sinner has won the prestigious Indian Wells 2026 tournament, after defeating Russian Daniil Medvedev in the final in a very balanced match that lasted 1 hour and 55 minutes.

The Italian tennis player prevailed 2-0 in the sets, both won in tie-breaks, 7-6 and 7-6, showing calm and determination in the decisive moments of the match.

The final was characterized by a dominance of services and very few break points. In the first set, Sinner had two chances to take the advantage in the sixth game, but Medvedev managed to cancel them out. However, in the tie-break, the Italian proved more accurate and won the set 8-6.

The second set was just as hard-fought and again went to a tie-break. Medvedev led 4-0, but Sinner reacted spectacularly, winning seven points in a row and closing the set 7-4.

With this success, the 25-year-old Italian secures the 25th title of his career and moves closer to first place in the ATP world rankings, led by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who was surprised in the semifinals of this tournament by Medvedev.
