Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the massive protests that have swept the country, focusing on the Mountains Package.
He said in a Facebook post that those who judge from the cafe violate this law.
"Greetings to everyone in Theth, about the mountains package. What's up with the mountains package? Do they know what the law is? Have they understood the reasons why the parties' package was born?! I said it directly, I wanted to share some information. I don't know how informed those who see the mountains from the city, judge politics from the cafe are. In Albania, there are some territories, especially in the north of the country, where the residents, the communities have not recognized, accepted the land division law. For this reason, they have divided the land among themselves, because "1501-i), they have not divided what they had in the past.
The mountains are opening up to those who have inherited property in the mountains. Here we are in a situation where people who have an orchard that they maintain and for which they are unable to obtain the papers, can obtain a permit to do agro-processing. In a situation where thousands of immigrants have expressed interest because they want to invest.
"The mountains package is a policy for the people, for the right to property, which suits those who for many years have not been able to turn their property into an asset," Rama said.
We recall that for 52 days, Tirana and beyond has been engulfed by massive protests, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the cancellation of several laws, including the Mountains Package and the Strategic Investments Package.
