Fourteen years after their much-discussed online feud, Rihanna and Ciara put the past behind them and were photographed together at the 2025 Met Gala, sending a message of reconciliation.
The "Goodies" singer and the Fenty Beauty founder met in New York, at the biggest fashion event held on May 5 at the Metropolitan College of Art, and showed that their relationship has been restored.
In one of the most viral moments of the evening, Ciara, wearing a black and transparent creation by LaQuan Smith, caressed Rihanna's swollen belly, as the two women posed smiling for the camera.
This photoshoot came 14 years after their online feud, which began in 2011, when Ciara said on a TV show that Rihanna wasn't the most polite when she met her at a party.
Rihanna responded via Twitter with a sarcastic comment: "Sorry Ci, I forgot to leave you some soft drinks? How rude of me."
Ciara quickly responded, writing: Trust me Rihanna, you won't see me on or off stage.
Their joint appearance at this year's Met Gala not only confirmed the end of their long-standing feud, but also highlighted a more mature attitude from both artists, with Rihanna attracting the attention of the paparazzi with the revelation of her third pregnancy. The singer appeared at the Met Gala with a bulging belly, drawing all eyes to her.
Recall that she already has two children with A$AP Rocky, two-year-old RZA and 1-year-old Riot.
