After the expiration of a brief ceasefire declared for Orthodox Easter, fighting between Russia and Ukraine has resumed with intensity, including new drone attacks and mutual accusations of massive violations of the interim agreement.

The Ukrainian Air Force announced that Russia launched 98 unmanned aerial vehicles overnight, of which 87 were shot down. On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that it had intercepted 33 Ukrainian drones.

During the 32-hour Easter ceasefire, both sides have accused each other of hundreds of violations of the agreement. According to Ukrainian authorities, more than 10,700 incidents of violations by the Russian side have been recorded, including shelling, ground attacks and the use of drones. Russia, for its part, claims to have documented about 1,900 violations by the Ukrainian side.

Meanwhile, local authorities in Ukraine are reporting civilian casualties in the Donetsk region, with two people killed in the cities of Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka shortly before the ceasefire ended.
