Three people have been killed and seven others injured in a Russian attack on a warehouse belonging to an agricultural company in northern Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian National Police, the attack took place at a warehouse in the town of Priluki, in the Chernihiv region, about 130 kilometers northeast of Kiev.
"According to initial information, three people were killed and seven were injured," police said in a statement. Authorities did not say what type of shell was used in the attack, but released photos showing a small brick building badly damaged by the explosion. The attack comes at a time when Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's logistical infrastructure. Since the invasion began in February 2022, Russian attacks have caused extensive damage to the country's energy infrastructure.
In recent months, Moscow has also stepped up missile and drone attacks on Kiev and Ukrainian logistics infrastructure, hitting rail networks, warehouses and supply chains, among other targets. The attacks have also hit key sectors of the Ukrainian economy, including grain exports across the Black Sea and metallurgical companies. Meanwhile, Ukraine has stepped up attacks on Russian territory, mainly targeting oil refineries and supply depots, in response to Moscow’s strikes.
