At least eight people have been killed and dozens more injured in Russian airstrikes in several areas of Ukraine, while a new attack in the city of Kharkiv has left at least 22 people, including children, injured. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekov said a Russian-manufactured air bomb hit an apartment building in the early hours of Monday, destroying two floors of the building. He said six children were among the injured.

Russian attacks were reported in several regions of Ukraine on Sunday. Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vihivskyi said three people, including a 16-year-old girl, were killed in air strikes in the northern city of Sumy, where a children's center was also damaged.

In the Odessa region, authorities reported a massive attack, in which one person was killed and residential buildings, a shop, a hotel, a medical building and a grain warehouse were damaged. The capital Kiev was also hit by Russian attacks, where a woman and two 16-year-olds were injured and taken to hospital. The city administration said 16 buildings were damaged, including 12 apartments, a warehouse and a production facility.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said three more people were killed in attacks in the southern Zaporizhia region, while a Russian drone strike in Kiev also killed one person. The attacks come as Russia continues air strikes on several cities and regions of Ukraine.
