At least two people were killed and six others were injured as a result of Russian airstrikes in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine.

The region's governor, Oleksandr Khanza, announced that Russian forces carried out nearly 50 attacks in five different areas, using drones, aerial bombs and artillery.

According to local authorities, the two victims were recorded near the city of Nikopol, which is located opposite the Russian-controlled Zaporizhia nuclear power plant and continues to be one of the areas hardest hit by the bombing.

Of the six injured, one person is in serious condition, while emergency teams continue to work in the affected areas to assess the damage and provide assistance.
