NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned that NATO can win any war if Russia decides to attack.

He has also weighed in on the war in Ukraine, saying that Russia has suffered huge losses, with around 65,000 soldiers killed in the last two months.

Rutte stressed that NATO is strong enough to withstand any attack and that, according to him, Russia would not want to attack a member country under these conditions.

"We will win any war with Russia if it attacks us now and we must make sure that in two, four, six years it will be the same," Rutte said.

In addition, the NATO secretary general said that no one in Europe is seeking to replace the US nuclear umbrella, after Germany announced that it was discussing nuclear deterrence with France.
