The meeting of the Council on Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunity will be held on January 28, 2026, at 12:00, at the Presidency of the Assembly, to review SPAK's request for the lifting of immunity and the arrest of Belinda Balluku.
Journalist Ergys Gjençaj in a connection for News24 has made a reflection of the situation, providing a summary of the issue and what is expected next.
"Earlier, Prime Minister Rama announced that the mandate council will meet after reviewing the request. On January 22, the Constitutional Court will review the merits of Ms. Balluku's suspension from office, and we expect to see a decision between January 22 and 22," journalist Ergys Gjençaj reported.
Meanwhile, the 28th will find the 10 deputies in the Assembly presidency, including SPAK prosecutors and Ms. Balluku's lawyer, and of course Ms. Balluku herself, whether she will participate or not.
