A serious blow for Santos ahead of one of the most important matches of the season. Neymar will not be available for the match against Atlético Mineiro in the Copa Sudamericana after suffering another muscle injury. The 34-year-old was forced off the pitch during the match against Palmeiras after feeling discomfort in his right thigh.
Medical tests carried out afterwards confirmed the injury, ending hopes that he would be ready for the next challenge.
He will be ready after the upcoming FIFA international break, which runs from September 21 to October 6. "I can't deny that I'm very happy with the new signings," said Santos coach Cuca.
