Residents of Lushnja took to the streets this Sunday to protest the state of the city's hospital and the conditions of healthcare provision. The rally was initially held near the Lushnja Regional Hospital, where citizens, patients and their families demanded concrete investments to improve the infrastructure and increase the quality of service.

During the protest, the participants spoke about the difficulties they face every day in receiving health services. They denounced the lack of infrastructure, the conditions of patient treatment, as well as the need for more investment in hospital wards and equipment. The protest was called by the Democratic Party MP, Saimir Korreshi, who joined the citizens in this gathering. During his speech, Korreshi stated that the residents of Lushnja deserve a hospital with dignified standards and that investments in health should not remain just promises.

After gathering in front of the hospital, the protesters began a walking march towards the city center. With banners and calls for improving the healthcare system, they walked the main streets of Lushnja, conveying their message to the responsible institutions. The march ended in the main square near the municipality, where a closing rally was held.
