US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said the United States would continue to exert "maximum pressure" on Iran, aiming to limit its ability to move and repatriate funds.

As he said, the US Navy will continue the blockade of Iranian ports, arguing that the measure directly affects Tehran's main income from oil and maritime trade.

According to him, this pressure could soon lead to complete saturation of oil reserves in key centers, such as Kharg Island, with direct impacts on production.

At the same time, he stressed that the US Treasury Department will continue its actions to "systematically weaken" Iran's economic capabilities through strict sanctions.

"Any person or vessel that facilitates these flows, even through covert transactions, risks facing US sanctions," he warned.

At the same time, he noted that the US continues to freeze funds that Washington claims have been diverted by Iran's "corrupt leadership."
