A serious road accident was recorded this Thursday at around 5:50 p.m. on the Elbasan-Librazhd national axis, in the village of Mengël, Labinot-Fushë Administrative Unit, in the territory of the Municipality of Elbasan.
According to sources at the scene, a car-type vehicle, suspected of being speeding, lost control while driving. As a result, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the side protective barriers.
As a result of the strong collision, the vehicle was almost completely damaged, suffering extensive damage to the front and side.
Sources indicate that the driver of the vehicle is Klement Balla, a resident of the village of Griqan. He was seriously injured and was urgently transported to the hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical assistance. According to preliminary information, his health condition appears serious.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Traffic Police services and the investigation group arrived at the scene of the accident, carried out the first procedural actions and launched investigations to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
It is initially suspected that the cause of the accident was loss of control of the vehicle, favored by high speed, while it is expected that technical expertise and police investigations will accurately determine the causes of this serious accident.
