A serious road accident was recorded this weekend evening on the Peqin-Rrogozhina axis, near the village of Karine, where two vehicles collided head-on.

As a result of the violent collision, five people were injured, while two of them are in serious condition and have been urgently transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance.

The collision was extremely strong, causing both vehicles to be almost completely destroyed. Firefighters had to intervene to extract the injured from the vehicles.

According to preliminary data, it is suspected that the cause of the accident was a wrong overtaking by one of the drivers. Police are at the scene and have launched investigations to clarify the full circumstances of the accident.
