A 36-year-old woman from Lezha was allegedly murdered by her roommate in Ulcinj, who then set fire to the apartment they lived in. The macabre crime occurred in the village of Kodër in Ulcinj and it is learned that the suspected perpetrator, Bashkim Gashi from Kosovo, was arrested after the incident by Montenegrin police.

Authorities in the neighboring state were notified at midnight on Wednesday that a fire had broken out in an apartment, and during the intervention of the fire brigade, the lifeless body of 36-year-old Dila Ndoj was found.

According to preliminary suspicions of investigators, the suspected perpetrator initially committed the murder and then set fire to the house to hide the traces of the crime. Also, 46-year-old Bashkim Gashi himself suffered partial burns, but is out of danger for life. The body of the 36-year-old from Balldreni, Lezha, has been transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for forensic examination, where an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
