A 39-year-old man was injured after an incident that occurred this evening in Velipojë.

According to preliminary police information, at around 19:00, near the Velipojë Border Police Station, the citizen with the initials EN, 39 years old, is suspected of being involved in an incident while lowering his floating vehicle from the bodywork.

Under these circumstances, it is suspected that the vessel's gas pipe accidentally exploded, causing burns to the 39-year-old's body.

The injured man received first aid at the Shkodra Regional Hospital and then headed to Tirana, where he will receive more specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the investigation team continues to work to determine the circumstances and full cause of the incident.
