A serious incident has been recorded in Seville, where renowned Spanish bullfighter Morante de la Puebla was injured during a bullfight.

According to media reports, including Onda Cero, the 46-year-old suffered a deep wound about 10 centimeters in the buttocks area, which also included damage to the rectum. The incident occurred after the bull gored him and then knocked him down, trampling him in the arena.

Footage from the scene shows the dramatic moment when other bullfighters immediately intervened to drive the animal away and come to the aid of their injured colleague, getting him out of the arena safely.

Morante de la Puebla is considered one of Spain's most prominent bullfighters, but this incident in Seville proved fatal. His condition is reported to be serious, while the accident has brought attention back to the great dangers that accompany this controversial tradition.
