24-year-old Albanian N. Dalipaj lost his life after being stabbed on Sunday evening in Vescovato, a town in the province of Cremona, Italy. According to Italian media, the young man was wounded several times in the neck area during a conflict that took place on Viale Italia. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but did not survive his injuries.

A 32-year-old man, Mattia Miraglia, a resident of Vescovato and with no criminal record, has been arrested in connection with the incident . He was also injured and is hospitalized at the Maggiore hospital, under the supervision of the authorities, while the Carabinieri continue their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the crime.

According to preliminary investigations, the conflict is suspected to have started for sentimental reasons, related to jealousy over a girl. Initially, there was an argument between the victim and the 32-year-old man in a bar, which seemed to have ended without consequences.

Later, the 24-year-old, accompanied by his brothers, went to the suspect's apartment in Vescovato. According to the preliminary reconstruction of the incident by investigators, the 32-year-old came down armed with a knife, first wounded one of the victim's brothers in the stomach and then stabbed N. Dalipaj several times, wounds that proved fatal.
