Authorities in Maryland, USA, announced on Monday afternoon that a shooting incident occurred inside a school complex, where one person was confirmed to have been injured, while Montgomery State Police arrested a suspect.

Specifically, the Montgomery County Police Department said that Thomas S. Wootton High School remains on lockdown as multiple officers converged on the scene.

The roads leading to the school are currently closed.

In fact, although authorities had recommended that parents gather at a nearby university campus, which has been designated as the meeting place, they were ultimately ordered not to gather as the incident is considered over.
