DP MP Jorida Tabaku stated that the opposition has requested the cancellation of the law on strategic investments since 2017, but the request has fallen on deaf ears.

She said in the Assembly that this law only did favors, and that the country did not benefit.

"In 2017, we requested that the law on strategic investments be suspended. We have raised this issue since then and all requests fell on deaf ears. Only one foreign investor has withdrawn with this law, there has only been a distribution of favors. I brought a legal proposal, but it was rejected. Albania does not have to divide the lands, into mother's and father's. There cannot be two standards. We want it for copyright, but not for strategic investments," she said.
