Slovakia's SEPS system operator has sent an official notification to Ukrenergo regarding the emergency power outage.
The relevant information was published on the Ukrainian company's Telegram channel.
"Ukrenergo has received an official letter from the Slovak SEPS regarding the unilateral termination of the agreement on the provision of emergency mutual assistance. The final termination of the terms of the agreement will occur in May of this year," the report says.
According to Ukrenergo, there will be no changes for Ukrainian consumers: “Emergency assistance from Slovakia has been used rarely and in very limited quantities. The last such case was recorded in January of this year. The termination of the agreement on “mutual emergency assistance” does not affect trade exchanges. Electricity imports from Slovakia to Ukraine have been carried out and continue without restrictions.”
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico accused Ukraine of artificially delaying the resumption of oil transportation through the Druzhba pipeline, which was damaged by Russian attacks.
