A hearing is being held at the Administrative Court on the case between Erion Veliaj and Ols Dado, where the plaintiff is the mayor of Tirana, while the defendants are Ols Dado and the institution of the President of the Republic.

The Mayor of Tirana claims that the appointment of Prosecutor Dado was made in violation of the rules.

At the hearing, Veliaj said: It is evident that an asymmetry is being created. One party is increasing public interest, the defendants are being driven away by the others, the KLP and the State Attorney. Either the KLP does not show respect for this court, or it has understood what all of Albania knows that Ols Dado is not a prosecutor and the mayor has been arrested. The mandate of the mayor cannot be treated as loot. Someone has put on the state uniform and kidnapped me from office. This legitimate association, your honorable weight is to restore faith in justice. If someone can dress up as a policeman or a prosecutor in this theater, they take on the shoulders of an entire city. I have won two victories without even going to Strasbourg. If they kidnapped me, they can kidnap anyone else. There is something wrong here, if Ols Dado had graduated from magistrate school, we would not have come here. A man has worn a prosecutor's suit just as a bandit wears a policeman's uniform. We are seeking the legitimacy of all parties. I have also served those who had political opponents. It is in everyone's interest to know who is making the arrests today. If a prosecutor is paid to do harm by law, I believe this legitimizes everyone to know the truth. I want my request to be legitimized by both the municipality of Tirana, the association, and the individual. I did not know that this person is paid to do harm to an individual. It is only a matter of time before my problem is resolved. The constitutional court has given me justice twice. I would like the hearing to go through.

Ols Dado's lawyer: We stand by our request that they not be legitimized, we appreciate that in this specific case, anyone who has problems with a prosecutor or judge should file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court regarding the manner of appointment. Requests for major interventions should also not be accepted.
