SpaceX is set to go public for the first time in what could be the largest initial public offering (IPO) in history. The company aims to raise about $75 billion from the sale of shares, surpassing the record set in 2019 by Saudi Aramco with a $25.6 billion IPO.

According to the company's plan, the shares will be offered at a suggested price of $135 each. If this target is achieved, SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who controls over 80% of the company, could further strengthen his position as one of the richest people in the world and potentially become the first trillionaire in history.

SpaceX is one of the most important companies in the space exploration industry, building rockets and technologies used by NASA. In addition to its core activities, the company also owns other Musk-related ventures, including xAI and the Starlink satellite internet service.

Stock trading is expected to begin with the opening of the session on the New York Stock Exchange, where the traditional opening bell rings at 09:30 a.m. local time on the US East Coast.

If SpaceX shares begin trading at the offer price of $135 (£100) on Friday, then the company's market value will rise to nearly $1.8 trillion, taking Musk's personal fortune to over $1 trillion.
