British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump. The focus of the talks, as reported by foreign media, was mainly on the ceasefire in the Middle East and efforts to restore freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

During the call, Starmer briefed the US President on his discussions on the need to restore free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as on the UK's initiatives to develop a workable plan in collaboration with international partners.

The two leaders agreed that, after reaching a ceasefire and agreeing to open the strategic sea passage, the next step is to find a solution that will ensure stability in the region.

Both sides agreed to keep communication channels open and hold new talks soon.
