British Prime Minister Keir Starmer plans to reject US President Donald Trump's offer to attend the Gaza Peace Council.

This was reported by the Financial Times, citing government sources in London.

Starmer said he was negotiating with allies over the terms of the Peace Council, but sources said he had no intention of signing an agreement with the body.

"The official position is that we are considering this issue. But you don't have to be a political genius to understand: paying taxpayers $1 billion to get a seat on the Council with Putin – that's not going to pass," one of the sources told the publication.

Starmer is reportedly open to attending the official G7 meeting in Paris, which will be held at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. The meeting is expected to discuss a range of foreign policy issues, including Greenland and Ukraine.
