Darrell Sheets, known for his participation in the popular television show Storage Wars, has died at the age of 67, according to authorities in the US state of Arizona.
Lake Havasu City police said he was found dead in his apartment after a 911 call about a person dead. According to the official statement, Sheets is suspected of having died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities confirmed that his family was immediately notified and that he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been sent to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office for examination.
Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are still ongoing and police have announced that further details will be released after the verifications are completed.
Sheets first became known to American audiences through Storage Wars, where he was a cast member since 2010, appearing in more than 160 episodes. After retiring from television, he lived in Arizona and also had an antiques business called "Havasu Show Me Your Junk."
