She said the best solution when you are in a situation where anxiety and stress are overwhelming you is to turn to a specialist.
"Stress has become a major issue for Albanians. We suffer a lot from anxiety and stress but we take very little care to manage them. The questions I encounter most are: How do I manage work stress and balance work and personal life? People live in multi-tasking when they have to do 2-3 things at once.
When stress overwhelms you, there is no escape and you turn to a psychologist or psychiatrist, or even a site like ours where we receive at least 500 questions every day, which we answer within 24 hours. What the mind tries to hide, the body does not forget. It happens that people who finally managed to have a stable environment suddenly have a panic attack and a state of anxiety. This happens because throughout life they are functional and mechanical, trampling on and neglecting emotions and sensations. At this time, you no longer control your body.
"Your body is telling you to take care of yourself more," she said, while also suggesting a breathing exercise that helps calm the body and lower your heart rate in such moments.", she said.
The psychiatrist said that the exercise consists of breathing in through the nose for 4 seconds, holding it for 6 second, and breathing out for 8 seconds.
