An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale was recorded shortly after midnight in the Gjirokastra area. The seismic tremors were felt at around 00:35, causing concern among residents.
According to preliminary data, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Gjirokastra area, while tremors were also felt in Saranda and other surrounding areas.
The earthquake occurred at a time when most residents were in their homes, causing the tremors to cause panic among citizens.
So far, there have been no reports of injured people or material damage.
