The New York Police Department (NYPD) urged citizens to avoid a segment of East End Avenue in Manhattan due to a suspected bomb outside Mayor Zohran Mamdani's Gracie Mansion residence.
Fox News reports that authorities are continuing the operation to fully uncover the incident.
According to two sources, two devices that were thrown during protests in front of the New York mayor's residence are being investigated.
Meanwhile, New York police spokeswoman Jessica Tis said that the bomb disposal team determined that one of the devices was an improvised explosive device, which could have caused serious injury or even death.
