Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has stated that taxes are being used by the Albanian government to put pressure on businesses.
Invited to the show "This Week" in News24, Tabaku, while speaking about Fiscal Peace, expressed that it is concerning that the Albanian government approves an initiative but does not accompany it with sub-legal acts, which are essential to determine the manner of its implementation.
"I opposed Fiscal Peace and the payment of fines, because taxes have been used as a weapon against businesses, to pressure businesses, when today there are over 2 billion euros in fines and late payment interest that are like a noose around the throats of businesses."
My concern is related to the revaluation of assets and amnesty, this is because the Albanian government approves an initiative and leaves it in the air without implementing the bylaws. The revaluation has been approved and there are no bylaws to implement it. The same with Fiscal Peace. They have approved Peace, after forcing 60 percent of 200 thousand businesses to go bankrupt, and now businesses are forced to wait for whatever happens.
This creates pressure and cramping.
"Self Care has not been operating for 2 months. Freelance professionals cannot generate an invoice. An institution that, in addition to the interests that are there and do not leave business free, has also been used for pressure," she said.
