Debates and tensions in the Kosovo Assembly. There was a clash between Vetëvendosje MP, Arbërie Nagavci, and PDK MPs.

While Nagavci was holding a media briefing, PDK deputies threw water at the VV deputy, causing tensions in the Assembly premises.

The situation has escalated further, with a physical clash between Arbërie Nagavci and AAK MP Albana Bytyqi.

Likewise, PDK deputies, and those from the Alliance, have thrown water and letters at the acting Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla.

There was also a physical altercation between the Democratic Party of Kosovo MP, Mërgim Lushtaku, and the LVV MP, Adnan Rrustemi, while the other LVV MP, Ardian Gola, intervened.

The clashes occurred after PDK and AAK deputies are demanding the continuation of the constitutive session, after the 30-day deadline for the constitution of the Assembly has expired.

The constitutive session began on August 6, but the Assembly failed to complete the election of the president and vice-presidents. The process remained suspended due to the lack of a political agreement.

However, Gërvalla said that the LVV's interpretation is that the session must be concluded 30 days from its start.

PDK and AAK have asked the chairman of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, to call for its continuation, while the Vetëvendosje Movement has insisted that a political agreement must first be reached.
