Anne Hathaway has reacted to the speculation that has taken over the internet regarding her pregnancy.
On Monday, August 10, the 43-year-old actress posted a video to Instagram of herself getting ready for the red carpet of her new film, “The End of Oak Street.” In the video’s caption, Hathaway responded to comments claiming her pregnancy belly was fake.
"Fake hair, real belly," she wrote humorously.
Speculation began after the "The Devil Wears Prada" actress appeared at the film's world premiere in Los Angeles with her stomach exposed, wearing a silk crop top and low-waisted jeans.
There was no shortage of skeptical comments on social media. "Sorry, but that belly looks fake," wrote one TikTok user, while others claimed makeup had been used.
Hathaway, who is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, announced the pregnancy news on June 19 in a video on Instagram. The couple are already parents to two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.
Recently, during an interview on the show "Late Night with Seth Meyers," the actress said that the pregnancy is going "miraculously" and admitted that she and her husband were surprised when they learned that they would become parents again.
"We knew what we were doing, but we were very surprised that it worked," she said.
