The sixth refereeing academy was successfully concluded with a graduation ceremony at the “House of Football”. 70 young referees graduated in this edition, a significant number of whom were girls.
This was the most successful edition of the academy so far, as it had the highest participation of young men and women who have chosen to pursue the path of refereeing.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, who congratulated the new referees and encouraged them to follow the path of refereeing with dedication.
President Duka praised the high participation in the refereeing academy, describing this edition as one of the most successful and emphasizing the importance of the referee in football. The head of Albanian football encouraged young people to pursue this profession, promising support from the Albanian Football Association and wishing them success in their careers.
"It is a pleasure for me to see a hall with young boys and girls for one of the most important components of football, which is refereeing. This is the sixth edition of the refereeing academy and at least in terms of number, because in terms of quality I can't say, the lecturers can say, but in terms of number it is the most successful, and in terms of quality of presentation it seems to be the most successful, but I hope and wish you a lot for the continuation of this profession for you. I believe that the beginning is good for you and I really hope that you will follow this passion of refereeing to become professional or high-level referees. Football is a beautiful game, a beautiful game for those who play it, a beautiful game for those who watch it in the stadium or on TV, but in reality it becomes difficult without you, but sometimes even with you it becomes difficult, so the referee's profession is to make this beautiful game as beautiful as possible. To help it to be truly attractive and beautiful for everyone. I want to encourage you, to express the readiness of the Albanian Football Federation to support you throughout your career. This is just the beginning, it is the end of the academy, but the beginning of your career. The road is long, but it will undoubtedly be beautiful, it is sporty, it will not be easy. You will have maximum support from the Football Federation, from the Referees Association, from the most experienced referees and your lecturers. I wish you the best possible career, mainly for the girls who have actually been more numerous in this academy than in other academies. I want to wish you success in your refereeing career", said President Duka.
The activity was also welcomed by the President of BASHF, Tahir Kastrati, who described this moment as special for the new members of BASHF.
"It is a special day for all of you and for us. From today onwards you are members of BASHF. I am confident that we will have many quality referees and arbitrators from you.", - said Tahir Kastrati.
