The well-known Swiss newspaper 'Tages Anzeiger' published a long article about the latest developments in Albania. The newspaper focuses on the investment project in Zvërnec, emphasizing that there is no way that Edi Rama did not know what was happening, since he controls everything in the country down to the smallest detail.

The newspaper emphasizes that this fact is openly stated in the book 'Albanian Files', which was published in Zurich, Switzerland. The newspaper even writes that Edi Rama himself personally directs the construction boom, which is also being carried out with the money of the drug mafia.

"In fact, Rama is personally driving the construction and real estate boom in the country. The Prime Minister has a degree in painting and recently exhibited at Art Basel."

How he imagines the architectural future of his country is shown in the book “The Albanian Files”. In about 800 pages, more than 500 construction projects are presented, designed by 60 international architecture studios in Albania. The book’s foreword was written by Rama himself.

Some architects openly admit that they were contacted directly by the prime minister via WhatsApp or Instagram, with the request to design projects for Albania - projects that were then, according to allegations, also carried out with money from the drug mafia.

According to activists and independent journalists, in such cases, public tenders are not held. According to their accusations, Rama often makes decisions and governs like an autocrat.

An architect from Rotterdam praises this unlimited freedom and even wishes Rama a lifetime of government.

“The Albanian Files” is published by Lars Müller Publishers in Zurich. Some activists in Tirana already consider the book a kind of “written indictment against Edi Rama.”
