Journalist Sokol Brahaj has described the festive atmosphere created by the Albanian community in Turkey on the occasion of November 28, Flag Day. He said that the Albanian diaspora in this country is among the largest and most organized in the world, describing Turkey as the country where the “largest Albanian lobby” exists.

In an online link on "News24 Weekend", the celebrations were received positively by Turkish citizens and institutions.

He expressed that Albanians in Turkey feel respected and appreciated in every field.

One of the most symbolic moments of the celebrations was the red and black lighting of the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul. Alongside it, Albanians celebrated with numerous activities in Ankara, Bursa and Istanbul, where the streets were filled with cars decorated with ethnic Albanian flags.

"We are one of the largest diaspora communities outside of Albania. The largest Albanian lobby is in Turkey. Here they don't react badly when we raise the flag, they even get very excited."
In the Flag Day celebration across Turkey, participants come from all Turkish parties, even ultra-nationalist ones.
They call us brothers and sisters, we have many privileges in this country, and we are valued in all areas.
"The Bosphorus Bridge was lit up red and black. We celebrated in Ankara, Bursa, Istanbul, with cars with flags of ethnic Albania," he said.
