The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that the issue of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, following the latest report by the European Commission that, according to him, has tarnished the Albanian government, has now crossed borders, becoming an issue not only of Albanians, but also of the European Union.

During his weekly direct communication with followers on social media, the opposition leader spoke at length about current political events in the country, the latest developments, and the electoral processes within the Democratic Party.

"Tirana's drug dictator, Rama, is being exposed in all four corners of the world. The media, everywhere, and especially in recent months, have portrayed Rama as he is, a drug dictator, a terrible man, a terrible lawyer for his crimes and for the people. Another report comes from the EC, free media and justice, stigmatizing Edi Rama and his regime in the strongest possible way," Berisha said, among other things.

Referring to the case of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, he said that Rama pressured institutions and the judiciary to protect her, but the EU stigmatized his regime, which is already wounded.

"The defense he gave to Lubi Balluku by name, the attacks on justice by Edi Rama, the pressure on the State Police and other institutions. Lubi Balluku has become not only an issue for Albanians, but also for the EU. His attitude towards the media is stigmatized. All of these are evidence of the final wounding of Rama and his regime," Berisha said.
