The 72nd consecutive protest by citizens in Tirana against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government cabinet has begun today, continuing the wave of popular resistance in the capital.
According to the organizers' plan, citizens have initially gathered at "Skënderbej" Square. From there, the crowd is expected to start marching towards the Prime Minister's Office building on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, where the main part of the protest and speeches by members of civil society and the opposition will take place.
The gathered participants have expressed their determination not to retreat from their demands until they are met. In a direct statement to the microphone of News24, one of the citizens present declared: "The US and Europe are with us! Rama is a criminal who has sold out the country," he said.
This protest marks the 72nd day of consecutive rallies in the capital, where the main demand remains the resignation of the prime minister and taking responsibility for the political and economic situation in the country.
