A quantity of explosives blew up the inner door of a three-story apartment in Rrilë, Lezha. The incident occurred this Thursday morning, when the perpetrators broke through the fence of the apartment of citizen Tom Çungu and installed the explosives in the inner door.

The explosion was very powerful and the material damage was very large, where in addition to the doors and windows, significant collapses of the interior walls and roof of the house were caused, causing panic among the neighbors. One of the neighbors of the family in question, said that the explosion was so powerful that the entire house shook. The elderly woman said that they thought it was lightning.

"We were asleep. We were shocked by the noise. We went outside. It seemed like lightning. We didn't see anything. I tell my husband; it's not bad weather outside. My husband tells me; I know what happened, in God's hands. It was a shock. The house shook, it was so powerful. How did the foundations not break? They are a good family. They have lived outside, when we have not heard a bad word. I have bad impressions of all of them. I have friends at home. It was very powerful like an explosion, it was powerful. We kept our minds on the lightning, it didn't cross our minds," she said.

At the time of the explosion, no one was in the apartment and the police say that the owner, Tom Çungu, has been living between Albania and Italy for more than 20 years. According to the investigation team, it is suspected that the perpetrators approached through secondary roads, as verifications so far on the cameras of the main axis have not detected any suspicious movements at the time of the explosion.
The investigation team is also reviewing video footage from several businesses near the expressway to identify any movement that may be related to the incident. So far, preliminary investigations have not revealed that the Çungu family has had any conflicts or problematic precedents.

The police say that the perpetrators who installed the explosive device on the door of the three-story villa in Rrilë have not yet been identified, and the Lezha Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case.
