The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, continues to be hospitalized in the Durrës regional hospital, in the Infectious Diseases ward, due to health problems. Dako suffers from arrhythmia, anxiety, and a herniated disc, while he is in the hospital, under the supervision of the Prisons Police Force.

We recall that after the decision issued by the Special Court of Appeal (GJKKO), which sentenced him to 2 years and 8 months in prison, the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) immediately issued the order for the execution of the decision. However, including the time previously spent in detention and house arrest, Dako only has 9 days of effective imprisonment left to serve (he has already served two days).

The police went to his apartment to escort him to his cell, but due to the health condition determined during the medical examination, he was transported to the Durrës hospital, where he is currently under the supervision of the Prison Police. It is learned that the execution of the sentence is being carried out in the hospital premises, where he will remain until the end of his prison term.
