Saranda police, after conducting checks in the "Baba Rexhepi" neighborhood, the area where the perpetrators headed after the assassination attempt on 50-year-old Thimjo Rubati, have found an abandoned motorcycle.

The motorcycle was found by the sea, in one of the bays of the area, precisely in the area called "Kassollja". The police suspect that the motorcycle belongs to the perpetrators of the attack on Friday evening. It did not show any signs of damage or burning, which could serve the investigation team to collect genetic material to identify the perpetrators. The fact that the motorcycle was found by the sea, has made the investigation team suspect that the perpetrators have left by boat or have hidden in the apartments of the suburban area.

The assassination attempt on Thimjo Rubati was allegedly planned and the organizer deliberately exploited the incident of the previous day when his son had a conflict with a police officer, in order to confuse the investigation. There is even information that the perpetrators knew that the police had seized the DVR of the area's cameras the night before, using this fact to carry out the incident in an area not covered by cameras.

So far, sources indicate that there are two main lines of investigation, one is a property conflict and the other a personal conflict for other reasons. The investigative group is uncertain about motives for settling scores or revenge, as the evidence is minimal.
